About the Open Source Portfolio

What is Portfolio?

Portfolio is a secure web site at the Boston University (BU) for saving, organizing, viewing, and selectively sharing personal educational records. Introduced by the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1995, Portfolio is now an open-source project freely available at http://www.theospi.org/ for download.

Who can use Portfolio?

All current BU students, faculty, and staff may use Portfolio to:

• Enter and view personal educational records
• Share selected Portfolio elements with one or more individuals
• View other people's Portfolios to which they have been granted access

Individuals outside of the BU Community may:

• View Portfolios to which they have been granted access by individuals at BU
