Profile
Dr. Katzman works in the Special Education Program. Her research has focused on students with disabilities’ perspectives of the effects of high-stakes testing. Additionally, she has conducted evaluations of the District of Columbia Public Schools, the state of Massachusetts, Ithaca Public Schools, and most recently, the New York City Public Schools. Dr. Katzman was herself a special education teacher for 14 years in St. Louis, New Jersey, and New York City. She is also an editor of the book Special Education for a New Century (2005).
